Animes and Mangas

If you don't know what animes and mangas are, they are basically Japanese versions of cartoons and comics. Animes and mangas have slowly been developing as a popular form of entertainment for people all over the world. Before I even knew it, I've been watching animes since I was a little girl, then I was introduced to mangas until I hit my middle school years. Although I'm not a hard core fanatic of the Japanese entertainment world, I understand why people have become so invested. It's something that you can't find on your regular TV channels and is not usually a big section at your local library. Animes and mangas has a certain style of illustrating a story, and although you might need subtitles and translations, it's something different that you don't get to see everyday.

You've probably heard of the classic animes like Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, and Naruto, but here's one that is a must-see for everyone. Attack on Titan has become a global sensation and is by far one of my favorite animes/mangas I 've ever seen/read. It's become so popular that they are making a love action movie out of it. If you don't know what this is about, the story is set in the future where the whole world is taken over by Titans who are pretty much giants who eats humans. So in order to protect themselves, the citizens live behind multiple walls while a group of brave men and women guard the walls and the people behind the walls against the Titans. I know that it might sound a bit crazy, but it's so awesome you won't regret watching the first episode. I recommend checking it out yourself and you can find it on Netflix under Animes.

Overall from my experiences, I know that animes and mangas aren't for everyone. But being able to be open and trying new things is the beauty of it all. It is stepping into new territory and you'll get to experience a totally different culture that is so unique and exciting. There are so many different types of animes and mangas out there, all you have to do is find the one that suits you and your personality.
